Design has expanded into new fields. Including the interactions between people and objects that respond to our needs rather than awaiting our instraftions. The tagging of information in our environment platform. New interfaces incorporate instinctive human traits, expanding our relationships with the objects they enable us to access.
Knowledge in our minds but do we really know everything? We know how to use our keyboards but do we know eddy letter location? Of course no, we have a knowledge of how to use it but the information on the keyboard. We read information and use our knowledge to use the object and we process it every single time when we use an object. And those signs and forms which allow us to read the information is called mapping and every object contains mapping to inform the user how to use an object. There are lots of people who use super advanced computers but not able to use a single door handle. The problem is not the user, the problem is mapping. Poor designed door handle contains wrong mapping and gives wrong information.
